About the EPF Calculator
Our free EPF Calculator helps salaried employees in India estimate their total retirement corpus accumulated through the Employee Provident Fund (EPF) scheme. By factoring in your basic salary, annual increments, and prevailing EPF interest rates, this tool projects your long-term savings growth up to retirement age.
How EPF Contributions and Interest Work
Under India's Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) guidelines:
- Employee Contribution: 12% of your monthly basic salary plus dearness allowance (DA) goes directly into your EPF account.
- Employer Contribution: The employer contributes 12% as well, split into 3.67% to EPF and 8.33% to the Employees' Pension Scheme (EPS up to statutory wage ceilings).
- Compound Interest: Interest is calculated monthly and credited annually based on the interest rate declared by the Central Government of India.
How to Use the EPF Calculator
Simply enter your employment and salary details or adjust the range sliders:
- Monthly Basic Salary + DA: Your current monthly basic earnings.
- Current Age: Your present age (retirement age is set at 58).
- Annual Salary Increment: The expected percentage increase in your basic salary each year.
- EPF Interest Rate: The current annual interest rate declared for EPF accumulations.
